It’s 9 months already since we first met.
I remembered when the nurse pushed him to my ward, his eyes was wide open and his mouth made a rounded shape like he was kissing me.
I hugged him, so gentle and so frightened that I would squash him.
Now moo moo is 9 months already.
And that’s him. Always wanting lots of attention, lots of play and lots of breast milk.
9 months
Weight: 9.4kg
Length: 78cm
Went to doc for the third 6 in 1 injection.
Doc said his weight and height is balanced.
Weight: 8.4kg
Height: 70.5cm
He is on the 90-97 percentile.
Doc revealed that during moo moo’s first injection, he is out of the scale.
He weighs 7.4kg and measures 65cm at month 2. I wonder how he plots the chart since moo moo is out of the scale???
Feeding and changing stations are now part of the itinerary whenever we go to a shopping mall. Obviously it is a key factor in decision making.
Here’s what we found out in terms of availability and cleanliness:
- IMM – Yes, very clean
- Bishan – Yes, clean but not so cosy as IMM (maybe because the dimmer lights make the place less inviting)
- Bukit Panjang Plaza – No
- Singapore Expo – Yes but YUcks! Because of the exhibition and shows there, the public uses the cleaning station as a toilet. Had to drive to grandma’s place nearby.
In the meantime, daddy got a GI cut for the following reasons:
- Weather hot
- Bad hair day
- Join Moo Moo’s team
Peach is good and has lots of fibre.
Bought from NTUC Australia peaches ( expensive despite promotional price- cost $1.88 each).
Here’s an easy to prepare yet yummy treat to wean baby.
Step:
1. Take 1/3 of peach, remove skin and cut into small pieces
2. Simmer in slow boiling water for 5 minutes until peach is easy to puree. Do not cook until caramelised
3. Stir in with 2 teaspoon of Rice Cereal. Adjust level of moisture to suit baby taste. It will be good if it is watery because Rice Cereal causes constipation
Here’s our baby moo moo and his peach!
I think many parents would agree with me – when starting in solids, will my little lovey be constipated?
Moo moo baby first started on solid when he was 4.5 months old, he didn’t pop for 4 days. We were worried. Next try, it’s 5 days without poo.
Later realised he wasn’t constipated. Probably body was adjusting to new food. Here’s a guide which I found to be very useful showing different illustration of poo poo. For first time mommy, poo poo is a very important guide to baby’s health.
Picture speaks a thousand words.

We started giving solids to moo moo 2 weeks ago. The first food we gave was nestle rice cereal – recommended by some baby guide book.
Omg – he was constipated for 4 days. Finally gave him some pumpkin to help him poo.
We tried again with fish porridge with pumpkin (he love it – isn’t it weird combination?). But constipation for 5 days.
Gave him prune juice to help and walla! Look at the amount of poo he had on first day of lunar new year. Well it’s gold according to his granny.
